COVID-19

May this find you healthy and happy during this time of pandemic.

We remain open during this time with some adjustments to our previous patient care practices to ensure safety. We are providing essential services to some patients in-person (such as IV treatment to persons with cancer or who are immunosuppressed). We are conducting most of our “office visits” by telephone or telehealth (video calls). We are screening patients and prospective patients on the phone to determine if they are acutely ill or have been exposed to anyone who is acutely ill, and either offering treatment over the phone or by telehealth or referring them to another appropriate health care facility. We will schedule certain new or established patients for in-person appointments if necessary.

We are using personal protection equipment (masks, gloves) to protect not only ourselves but our patients and their loved ones, and maintaining physical distancing. We ask that you wear a mask and observe physical distancing in the office as well. We are striving to have only one patient in the office at a time, and sanitizing patient care rooms after every patient visit. As of today, April 16, we are seeing a flattening of the curve of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Hawaii due to the stay at home policy, the encouragement to wear masks, and the social distancing that most people are abiding by for the sake of not only themselves, but for everyone.

Mahalo for your kokua. It is our honor to serve you.

Dr. Traub and staff

Office Information:

Fees are based on the length of the visit and the complexity of the problems and services provided (examination, physical treatments, etc.). Fees may vary somewhat from visit to visit based on time spent and whether the service is simple or more complex. First visits are generally one hour in length.

Return visits are generally 30-60 minutes in length. The fee for a straightforward return visit of 30 minutes will be approximately $125. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept payment by check, cash, VISA or MasterCard.

We are a participating provider for HMAA. Patients with some HMSA plans, and with UHA, pay at the time of service and are provided a receipt and insurance claim form to submit for reimbursement by their plan. Naturopathic physicians are not eligible at this time for Medicare and Medicaid (Quest) plans.

Dr. Traub will provide most, if not all, of the products/medicines that he recommends for you. If you wish to request refills, please contact the office by email, mail, or fax the office at least one day prior to when you wish to pick up or have the package mailed to you. NOTE: We do not accept refill requests by phone or by voicemail, unless you do not have the ability to email or fax your request.

Email is preferred for general questions and updates.

Phone calls in excess of five minutes may be billed as phone consultations.

If you have any questions about these policies, please ask.
